It is a great honor to establish a clinic in Ookayama. With 15 years of experience, I was fortunate enough to travel around the world and see patients in Japan, Mexico, Australia, China, UAE, and the United States. Because of my experience overseas, I have actively treated foreigners in Japan. Although there are cultural differences, I believe making patients satisfied and happy is a universal concept. Furthermore, I am a third generation dentist in my family and I believe it is my calling to be a dentist.

Tellus Dental and Implant Office ~ Dental Tourism Japan Tokyo ~ is named after tellus which has three meanings. Tellus means earth and the element symbol Te in Latin represents stability and longevity. Furthermore, Tellus also means “tell us” in English; I wish to create an environment where patients feel comfortable to tell us anything and we aim to respond to their wishes as much as we can. Therefore, I would like to provide any treatment that the locals and patients from overseas need by burying our roots in Ookayama.

Cavity Treatment

Cavities can occur if you do not clean your teeth properly and your teeth will decay because of bacteria. First, a small hole is created and as the bacteria sinks in, it will become painful. Teeth can naturally cure itself so treatment is unnecessary at the first stage. However, an accurate diagnosis is necessary to decide whether a treatment is needed or if it can be fixed naturally. If a treatment is not necessary, we will give you appropriate advice so that the cavity does not get worse. Please keep in mind that once a tooth is drilled, it will never be the same again so it is essential to make the right choice.

Root canal treatment

In a bad case of cavity, bacteria is in the nerves and must be removed, which is known as root canal treatment. Ideally, with the right diagnosis and treatment, nerve treatment can be avoided if patients do not tolerate and ignore the pain. However, a more complex treatment is necessary when cavity and bacteria has affected the nerves. In addition, nerve treatments have a lower success rate compared to other treatments. This is why the bacteria must be removed quickly so that the bacteria cannot affect the tooth any longer. To eliminate the bacteria, all equipment are used only once and disposed for root canal treatments and a microscope is used for an accurate treatment.

Gum treatment

Gum disease is where the bone around the teeth melts and the teeth becomes unstable. The two main causes of gum disease are bacteria infection and if patients bite too hard. Bacteria is removed as much as possible and we will adjust the teeth well so patients feel comfortable when they eat and bite. Also, we can regenerate bones that have melted depending on the situation.

Occlusion treatment

Symptoms such as difficulty biting, teeth and jaw misalignment, feeling pain when biting are mainly caused by the deterioration of old fillings. These could lead to an imbalance of teeth. Not only that, if many teeth has received dental work, there is a high possibility of having an imbalanced occlusion. We create molds of your teeth and record the situation when your jaw is moving. Then, we will find the problem and provide a treatment to make sure all the teeth will be well balanced.

Treatment for Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder

Problems such as your jaw making popping sounds, difficulty opening your mouth, pain in your jaw, and pain in your joints around the muscles are symptoms of TMJ disorder. Also, the causes of TMJ disorder can be your posture, resting your cheek on your hand, biting habits and sleeping posture. At this clinic, patients will receive a medical examination, an X-ray, and we will research about how well you bite. Then, from these information, we will make an accurate diagnosis. Depending on the symptoms, we will provide a mouthguard (hard type or soft type), teeth “manipulation” by hand, and adjust your teeth so that you can bite properly.

Wisdom tooth

At the back of your mouth, the gum may be swollen, painful, may taste bad or smell bad. This is because inflammation occurs around your wisdom tooth. In most cases, pulling out your tooth is recommended but it could lead to bad teeth alignment so an accurate diagnosis is needed. If you are able to maintain good teeth by not having cavities, it is possible to have tooth transplants in the future. That’s why it could be a waste to extract your tooth too quickly. At our clinic, we have the necessary equipment and technique to deal with these situations.

Metal Allergy Treatment

Recently, patients with allergies are increasing and one of the reasons for their allergic reaction is the filling in their mouth. White spots on the mucous membranes might be made in their mouth, on their palms, or on the back of their feet. These symptoms are similar to blisters and it is an illness called Palmoplantar pustulosis. Metals used in fillings are a mixture of different metals, so ion melting is the reason for this.

Black rust from metal or old metal fillings can be dangerous and it is highly recommended that patients receive a thorough examination at least once.  At our clinic, it is possible not to use metal fillings or implants in order for patients with metal allergies to receive a safe treatment.

Dental Implants

Implant treatment involves making an artificial tooth by putting screws into the part where the tooth is gone. The artificial tooth, shaped like a screw , becomes the base. In addition, we will make a crown on the base .In outdated treatments, we would drill your own tooth, and make an artificial tooth to use it as a support. However, implant treatment does not need any support so it is possible to make a tooth. Therefore, the teeth that are left are not pressured which means they last longer, which is a big advantage. On the other hand, this treatment requires highly specialized skills and an accurate diagnosis.

At this clinic, we will respond to patients’ wishes and we can offer many treatment options. Not only that, we can reduce the amount of time of treatment and avoid using metals for metal allergic patients.

Bone graft treatment

If patients ignore bacteria infection and do not do anything after tooth extraction, the bone will melt and slowly become thinner. After that, it might not be possible to have a treatment that makes teeth. In that case, we can make an artificial tooth by creating new bones, which is known as the bone transplant treatment or bone repair. For example, if the base is unstable when we build a house, we need to make the base stronger by making it harder. Then, the house (the artificial tooth) can be stable for a long time.

Orthodontic treatment

We use a mouth piece called invisalign for orthodontic treatment which fixes teeth alignment.

We recommend this because metal wires are not used so it looks good on patients.

Whitening and Facials

For whitening, a different equipment than the one we use for regular cleaning is used.

This is because it can remove more stain. After that, we put hydrogen peroxide on your teeth to make them whiter. At this clinic, we use medical ingredients that are relatively better for the teeth so that it does not sting or pierce compared to other medical ingredients. We also decide the amount of time a patient should receive a whitening treatment depending on the quality of the teeth. 

Ceramic aesthetics treatment - Smile makeover

Ceramic aesthetics treatment is available for people who wish to change the shape of their front teeth or for those who want shiny white teeth like Hollywood stars.

First, we will make a simulation and plan for how patients’ teeth look when they smile and how the patients’ lips look.Then, we will drill 1mm off the surface of your tooth and attach the ceramic like acrylic nails. For patients who bite extremely hard or who have crowns, we might suggest an alternative treatment. 

Prevention care program

For those who finished treatments or those who do not have any dental problems, we recommend you to receive treatment to prevent dental problems that might occur in the future.

This preventive treatment can maintain a healthy environment for your teeth for as long as possible. Just like we take our cars for check ups for our cars to last as long as possible, patients should receive preventive treatments for their teeth as well.

At this clinic, plaque or tartar can be removed by ultrasonic and rotating brush. We spray powder on the teeth to make surface smoothly and your teeth will become very shiny. Finally, we put coating on them to prevent cavities. We can combine this treatment with anti-aging facials which is extremely time efficient and effective.

Short term intensive treatment

We will check your mouth and locate the problems. We will do our best to shorten the treatment time. Periodontal disease and tooth extraction typically takes time but short term intensive treatment includes many different treatments all at once. Therefore, it is possible to have a short term intensive treatment. (However, this treatment requires highly skilled techniques and is not available in many places. For cavities and nerve treatment, patients will only need to visit our office once. To create fillings or crowns, patients will only need to visit our office a few times but there is an individual difference. For treatments that typically takes one to two years, we can reduce the treatment time by one third.

Dental Tourism

Dental tourism is a short term, intensive program for patients who come from overseas or in Japan for only a short time. It is a treatment where we combine several treatments in a short amount of time. Treatments are adjusted to finish in time for patients who have to leave Japan soon or those who are visiting Japan for a very short time. Even if patients are in the middle of the treatment, we can put a temporary tooth so that patients can go on with their lives until they come to Japan the next time. Not only that, we can arrange accommodation and make sure that patients’ time here is not wasted and efficiently used. Before patients come to our clinic, we can correspond by email and if patients can send me an X-ray of their teeth, I can give advice and customize a treatment plan just for that patient. This short term intensive treatment requires highly skilled techniques and I started this treatment from 2008 for patients who are too busy to go to the dentist regularly. Patients who have received this treatment have been extremely satisfied so far. Moreover, we can also introduce clinics overseas that we have connections with so that people who live overseas can receive treatment anywhere.

Tratamiento de la Caries

Las caries pueden ocurrir si usted no limpia los dientes correctamente y sus dientes se descomponen debido a las bacterias. En primer lugar, se crea un pequeño agujero y a medida que las bacterias penetran en el diente, se convertirá en doloroso. Los dientes pueden curarse naturalmente por lo que el tratamiento es innecesario en la primera etapa. Sin embargo, es necesario un diagnóstico preciso para decidir si se necesita un tratamiento o si se puede solucionar de forma natural. Si un tratamiento no es necesario, le daremos el consejo adecuado para que la cavidad no empeore. Por favor, tenga en cuenta que una vez que un diente es perforado, nunca será el mismo de nuevo por lo que es esencial para tomar la decisión correcta.

Tratamiento de conducto radicular

En un mal caso de cavidad, las bacterias están en el nervio del diente y deben ser removidas, lo que se conoce como tratamiento de conducto radicular. Idealmente, con el diagnóstico y el tratamiento adecuados, se puede evitar el tratamiento nervioso si los pacientes no toleran e ignoran el dolor. Sin embargo, es necesario un tratamiento más complejo cuando la cavidad y las bacterias han afectado a los nervios. Además, los tratamientos nerviosos tienen una tasa de éxito más baja en comparación con otros tratamientos. Esta es la razón por la que las bacterias deben ser eliminadas rápidamente para que las bacterias no pueden afectar el diente por más tiempo. Para eliminar las bacterias, todos los equipos se utilizan una sola vez y se eliminan para tratamientos nerviosos y se utiliza un microscopio para un tratamiento preciso.

Tratamiento de las encías

La enfermedad de las encías es donde el hueso alrededor de los dientes se derrite y los dientes se vuelven inestables. Las dos principales causas de la enfermedad de las encías son la infección bacteriana y si los pacientes muerden demasiado fuerte. Las bacterias se eliminan tanto como sea posible y ajustaremos bien los dientes para que los pacientes se sientan cómodos cuando comen y muerden. Además, podemos regenerar huesos que se han derretido dependiendo de la situación.

Tratamiento de oclusión

Síntomas como dificultad para morder, desalineación de los dientes y mandíbulas, sensación de dolor al morder son causados principalmente por el deterioro de los empastes antiguos. Estos podrían conducir a un desequilibrio de los dientes. No sólo eso, si muchos dientes han recibido trabajo dental, hay una alta posibilidad de tener una oclusión desequilibrada. Creamos moldes de sus dientes y registramos la situación cuando su mandíbula se está moviendo. Entonces, encontraremos el problema y proporcionaremos un tratamiento para asegurarnos de que todos los dientes estarán bien equilibrados.

Tratamiento para el trastorno de la articulación temporomandibular (TMJ)

Problemas como la mandíbula que hace sonar, dificultad para abrir la boca, dolor en la mandíbula y dolor en las articulaciones alrededor de los músculos son síntomas del trastorno de la ATM. Además, las causas del trastorno de la ATM pueden ser tu postura, apoyando la mejilla en la mano, picando hábitos y postura al dormir. En esta clínica, los pacientes recibirán un examen médico, una radiografía, e investigaremos qué tan bien muerdes. Luego, a partir de esta información, haremos un diagnóstico preciso. Dependiendo de los síntomas, proporcionaremos una pieza de la boca (tipo duro o tipo suave), dientes "manipulación" a mano, y ajustar sus dientes para que pueda morder correctamente.

Tratamiento de Muelas del Juicio

En la parte posterior de la boca, la encía puede estar hinchada, dolorosa, puede saber mal u oler mal. Esto se debe a que la inflamación ocurre alrededor de la muela del juicio. En la mayoría de los casos, se recomienda extraer el diente, pero podría conducir a una mala alineación de los dientes por lo que se necesita un diagnóstico preciso.   Si usted es capaz de mantener buenos dientes al no tener caries, es posible tener trasplantes de dientes en el futuro. Es por eso que podría ser un desperdicio extraer su diente demasiado rápido. En nuestra clínica, contamos con el equipo y la técnica necesarios para hacer frente a estas situaciones.

Tratamiento de alergia al metal

Recientemente, los pacientes con alergias están aumentando y una de las razones de su reacción alérgica es el relleno en su boca. Se pueden hacer manchas blancas en las membranas mucosas en la boca, en las palmas de las manos o en la parte posterior de los pies. Estos síntomas son similares a las ampollas y es una enfermedad llamada pustulosis palmoplantar. Los metales utilizados en los empastes son una mezcla de diferentes metales, por lo que el derretimiento iónico es la razón de esto.

El óxido negro de metales o rellenos de metales viejos puede ser peligroso y es muy recomendable que los pacientes reciban un examen exhaustivo al menos una vez.

En nuestra clínica, es posible no utilizar empastes o implantes metálicos para que los pacientes con alergias metálicas reciban un tratamiento seguro.

Implante dental

El tratamiento del implante dental consiste en hacer un diente artificial poniendo el tornillo en la parte donde el diente se ha ido. El diente artificial, con forma de tornillo, se convierte en la base. Además, haremos una corona. En tratamientos obsoletos, perforaríamos su propio diente, y haríamos un diente artificial para usarlo como soporte. Sin embargo, el tratamiento con implantes no necesita ningún soporte, por lo que es posible hacer un diente. Por lo tanto, los dientes que quedan no se presionan lo que significa que duran más tiempo, lo que es una gran ventaja. Por otro lado, este tratamiento requiere habilidades altamente especializadas y un diagnóstico preciso.

En esta clínica, responderemos a los deseos de los pacientes y podemos ofrecer muchas opciones de tratamiento. No sólo eso, podemos reducir la cantidad de tiempo de tratamiento y evitar el uso de metales para pacientes alérgicos al metal.

Tratamiento de injerto óseo

Si los pacientes ignoran la infección bacteriana y no hacen nada después de la extracción del diente, el hueso se encogerá y lentamente se volverá más delgado. Después de eso, es posible que no sea posible tener un tratamiento que haga dientes. En ese caso, podemos hacer un diente artificial mediante la creación de hueso nuevo, que se conoce como el tratamiento del injerto óseo o reparación ósea. Por ejemplo, si la base es inestable cuando construimos una casa, necesitamos hacer la base más fuerte haciéndola más difícil. Entonces, la casa (el diente artificial) puede ser estable durante mucho tiempo.

Tratamiento de ortodoncia

Utilizamos una guarda llamada invisalign para el tratamiento de ortodoncia que fija la alineación de los dientes.  Recomendamos esto porque los cables metálicos no se utilizan por lo que se ve bien en los pacientes.

Blanqueamiento y faciales

Para el aclaramiento, se utiliza un equipo diferente al que utilizamos para la limpieza regular. Esto se debe a que puede eliminar más manchas.

Después de eso, ponemos peróxido de hidrógeno en sus dientes para hacerlos más blancos. En esta clínica, utilizamos ingredientes médicos que son relativamente mejores para los dientes para que no dañar o perforar en comparación con otros ingredientes médicos.

También decidimos la cantidad de tiempo que un paciente debe recibir un tratamiento de blanqueamiento dependiendo de la calidad de los dientes.

Tratamiento de Cerámica estética - Cambio de imagen de la sonrisa:

El tratamiento de estética cerámica está disponible para las personas que desean cambiar la forma de sus dientes frontales o para aquellos que quieren dientes blancos brillantes como estrellas de Hollywood.

En primer lugar, haremos una simulación y planificaremos cómo se ven los dientes de los pacientes cuando sonríen y cómo se ven los labios de los pacientes. Luego, perforaremos 1 mm de la superficie de su diente y colocaremos la cerámica como clavos de acrílico. Para los pacientes que muerden extremadamente duro o que tienen coronas, podríamos sugerir un tratamiento alternativo que es hacer coronas de cerámica.

Programa de atención de prevención

Para aquellos que terminaron los tratamientos o aquellos que no tienen ningún problema dental, le recomendamos que reciba tratamiento para prevenir problemas dentales que podrían ocurrir en el futuro.

Este tratamiento preventivo puede mantener un ambiente saludable para los dientes durante el mayor tiempo posible. Al igual que tomamos nuestros coches para chequeos para que nuestros coches duren el mayor tiempo posible, los pacientes también deben recibir tratamientos preventivos para sus dientes.

En esta clínica, la placa o el sarro se pueden eliminar por cepillo ultrasónico y giratorio. Rociamos polvo a los dientes para hacer la superficie suavemente y sus dientes se volverán muy brillantes. Finalmente, les ponemos recubrimiento para evitar caries. Podemos combinar este tratamiento con tratamientos faciales antienvejecimiento que es extremadamente eficiente en el tiempo y eficaz.

Tratamiento intensivo a corto plazo

Revisaremos su boca y localizaremos los problemas. Haremos todo lo posible para acortar el tiempo de tratamiento.
La enfermedad periodontal y la extracción dental normalmente toma tiempo, pero el tratamiento intensivo a corto plazo incluye muchos tratamientos diferentes a la vez.
Por lo tanto, es posible tener un tratamiento intensivo a corto plazo. (Sin embargo, este tratamiento requiere técnicas altamente calificadas y no está disponible en muchos lugares. Para las caries y el tratamiento nervioso, los pacientes solo tendrán que visitar nuestra oficina una vez.
Para crear empastes o coronas, los pacientes sólo tendrán que visitar nuestra oficina un par de veces, pero hay una diferencia individual. Para los tratamientos que normalmente tardan de uno a dos años, podemos reducir el tiempo de tratamiento en un tercio.

Toursimo dental

El Toursimo dental es un programa intensivo a corto plazo para pacientes que vienen del extranjero o se encuentran en Japón por poco tiempo. Los tratamientos se ajustan para terminar a tiempo para cumplir con el tiempo límite que tienen los pacientes.
Incluso si los pacientes están en medio del tratamiento, podemos poner un diente temporal para que los pacientes puedan continuar con sus vidas hasta que vengan a Japón la próxima vez. No sólo eso, podemos organizar el alojamiento y asegurarnos de que el tiempo de los pacientes aquí no se desperdicie y se utilice eficientemente.
Antes de que los pacientes vengan a nuestra clínica, podemos corresponder por correo electrónico y si los pacientes pueden enviarme una radiografía de sus dientes, puedo dar consejos y personalizar un plan de tratamiento sólo para ese paciente.
Este tratamiento intensivo a corto plazo requiere técnicas altamente calificadas y han estado disponibles a partir de 2008 para los pacientes que están demasiado ocupados para ir al dentista regularmente.
